Lift tickets (2008/09 prices)

There are three basic lift tickets —Zermatt only; Zermatt and Cervinia; and Zermatt - Val d'Aosta. (The Matterhorn-Cervinia Pass is no longer offered.).

These are the prices for Zermatt only.

Who skis free: Children younger than age 9 ski free with a free ticket.

Official ID showing date of birth is required to receive both the children's and senior's discount.

An addtional day of skiing in Valtournenche costs CHF37.

Note: If you plan to ski to Cervinia and you do not have the Zermatt-only pass, you must pay a surcharge to use Cervinia’s uphill lift system. The surcharge for the combination ticket is CHF 37.

WOLLI-Pass
New for 2008/09: This beginner's pass costs half of the normal “Zermatt Day Pass” (CHF36) and is valid on the Sunnegga funicular as well as the Eisfluh chairlift and the Findelbahn. Children pay CHF18, and children younger than age 9 ski for free. You can also get the Wolli pass in the MG stations Randa and Täsch, together with the shuttle ticket for the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.

Also note that Zermatt still publishes their original prices in Swiss Francs and although they accept payment in Euros, prices in Euros are not guaranteed.
