Competitive snowboarders should head to the Gipfelbahn area to find the boardercross, a gnarly race course made up of gates, bumps, gaps and a 360-degree ramp. Access the halfpipe and quarterpipes on the Kitzsteinhorn glacier via the Keeslift. Intermediate and Alpine snowboarders will be happiest riding down the wide cruisers of the Schmittenhohe and riding the aerial lifts, rather than riding T-bars to the relatively flat terrain of the glacier. Expert boarders should hire a guide from any ski school and ride off-piste both at the Kitzsteinhorn and Schmittenhöhe. Schmittehöhe also has a halfpipe at the Glocknerbahn and an area called Jumping City at the top station of Areit III that expert boarders will also enjoy.
