  Cross-Country and snowshoeing (2007/08 prices)
The ESF (479 00 02 86) gives snowshoeing tours through the Belleville Valley including the villages of Le Lou, Le Col des Tempêtes and les Montagnettes. Here are the prices: Snowshoes excursions (p.m.) The Sunday Try Out is an excursion around the resort, the lakes and ice cascades. Monday's trip is from the ridge a magnificant view of the Mont-Blanc on one side and the Belleville Valley on the other. Tuesday's tour is a picturesque excursion across mountain pastures, the forest and one of the Belleville villages. Wednesday's excursion is introduction to the mountain above the tree line. Thursday's trip is a hike around the frozen lake “Lac du Lou” with spectacular mountain views. Friday's tour is a downhill hike from Péclet glacier towards Val Thorens, at the foot of the crevasses and serecs. The Monday and Friday excursions require lift passes. Jacques Chautemps (Prosneige) (479 01 07 00) charges €25 for a half-day excursion. |
