Val d’Isère in l’Espace Killy, France

Cross-Country and snowshoeing (2007/08 prices)

L’Espace Killy has a total of 44 km of tracks. Cross country skiing circuits can be found in the Manchet valley, La Daille, near the Fornet and at the Ouillette lake.

Green run - Les Chavonnes - length : 1.4 km
Blue run - Le Gorret - length : 3 km
Red run - Le Manchet - length : 6.5 km

La Daille area:
Green run - length : 1.3 km
Blue run - length : 2 km

L'ouillette area (Solaise):
Blue run - length : 2 km

Le Laisinant area:
Blue run
Le Laisinant - length : 1.3 km
Red run
Le Thovex - length : 3.5 km

Snowshoeing

Both the Killy Sport Shop (479 41 10 01) and the Aventure Voile Montagne (662 17 62 62) arrange “diner raquettes”, hiking excursions through the mountain forests and to a traditional French restaurant. The Killy Sport Shop trips take place every evening. The Aventure Voile Montagne trips are in Vanoise. Ecole du Ski Francais (479 06 02 34) also has excursions every morning from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. which cost €30and every afternoon from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. which cost €23.

There are also several free daylight trails highlighted by the resort. Before setting off, always inquire at the Tourist Office as to whether the paths are open (especially after heavy snow falls).

Fornet - Pont St Charles
Take the free shuttle bus to the Fornet. From the Fornet, at the foot of the cable car, you'll find a path that takes you to the Pont Saint Charles, on the border of the Vanoise National park (5 Km one way). The path is really sunny in the afternoon.

Val d'Isère - La Daille
Next to the main road D902, this walking trail is 1,5 km long roundrtrip.

L’Ouillette
Take Solaise cable car. Follow the "rope tow". Walk to the Madeleine chairlift where you'll find the Ouillette Lake. The trail is a picturesque, sunny 2-km walk around the lake. You'll find various restaurants on location.

Val d'Isère - Manchet valley
From the resort center, cross the nursery slope and head for the Solaise Cable car. Follow the track to the Clochetons restaurant (1km away). (You may also take the "Green bus" from the resort center to the Clochetons restaurant.) From the restaurant , you can follow the path that takes you to the Manchet old hamlet (3km). You can come back to the resort via the same route. The path is sunny in the morning and early afternoon.

Bellevarde
Access Bellevarde with the Bellevarde Express & Loyes Express chairlifts. You can also go up & come back with the Olympique cable car.
