Child Care (2008/09 prices)

There are many alternatives for child care in Val d’Isère. The hotels and the tourist office can put you in touch with private babysitting services (479 06 06 60).

Le Petit Poucet (479 06 13 97) is for children age 3 and older. Costs are €48 a day and €274 for six days. Open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Le Petit Poucet has bus service that shuttles the children to care. Here is a pdf with more detailed information on the program.

Another facility is the French Ski School, with an extensive programs for kids ages 4–13. The Jardin des Neiges takes ages 4 and 5 for lessons at €48 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; €39 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; €34.50 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and 9.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. & 2.30 p.m.-5 p.m.costs €72.50. The Village des Enfants (479 40 09 81) takes kids ages 3–8 in the mornings from 9 am - 12:30 pm and in the afternoons from 2 pm - 5:30 pm. With lunch, one full day costs €50. With lunch and ski instruction, six mornings cost €215.
