The closest international airports are Lyons (150 miles from the resort) and Geneva (about 86 miles). A smaller airport that offers some flights is Chambéry. A daily bus to Tignes from Geneva airport (00 41 900 57 15 00 for reservations) and weekend service from Lyons airport operate in winter.

TGV trains now run directly from Paris to Bourg-St. Maurice in 4-1/2 hours. A bus connection gets you to Tignes. A joint rail/bus ticket is available at the railway station or from travel agents.

If you drive, the best route from Geneva is au-toroute A41 to Annecy and then N90 to Albertville. From there, follow signs to Bourg-St. Maurice and on to Tignes. From Lyons, take autoroute A43 to Albertville, then follow the signs to Moutiers, Bourg-St. Maurice, and on to Tignes.
