St. Moritz area ski schools employ up to 350 instructors. In 1927 the world’s first ski school was established here. Schweizer Skischule St. Moritz (081-8300101; fax 081-8300109) is in the center of town next to the public parking.

Private lessons cost €227 for a full day. A half day costs €127.

Group lessons are €30 for a half day; €47, for a full day; €120, three days.

Snowboard private lessons cost €127 for two hours (half day) and €227 for five hours (full day). Each extra person must pay €14.

Snowboard group lessons are €30 for a half day.

Cross-country lessons are extremely popular thanks to the 180 km. of well-maintained
trails in the valley. At the Schweizer (Swiss) Lauglaufschule (Cross Country Ski School) St. Moritz (081 833 62 33), private cross-country lessons are €50 per hour for one or two skiers and €208 for a full day, plus €6.50 for each additional person.

Group cross-country lesson rates for classic style are €23 for one lessons and €58.50 for three lessons. These lessons are only held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lessons for skate skiing are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a minimum of three people. They cost €29 for one lesson and €71.50 for three lessons.
