Getting there:
Youll normally fly into Zürich and then catch a train to St. Moritz.
If you are driving, the easiest route is Zürich-Chur-Thusis, then a 30-mile stretch over the Julierpass (chains needed only in the worst weather). You can also take the Thusis-Samedan car-train tunnel when the pass is closed or the new Klosters-Susch Vereina.
If you stay in St. Moritz and not in one of the outlying towns, youll pay a stiff fee for parking, about €9 a day unless you are staying for more than a week. In that case, there is a discount card available. The main garage is cen-trally located, however, two minutes down the hill from the Corviglia funicular. The Serletta Parking Garage which sits between the railway station, the lake and Badrutts Palace Hotel provides 600 more public parking spaces which greatly ease traffic. It also doubles as a gallery, displaying artwork in the form of valuable, vintage St. Moritz posters.
