
Child Care (2007/08 prices)
Ski instruction is offered for children ages 3 and 4 at the Bobo Mini-Club run by the Ski- & Snowboardschool St Johann in Tirol The Original (5352-64777). Classes are small with groups for three to five children and take place for two hours in the morning. A half day including ski and boot rental costs €25. A half-day extension costs €20. Older children can join the ski schools Kids Club. Prices are the same as adult group skiing lessons.
Ski- & Snowboardschool Eichenhof (5352 65930, 61548, fax 61548-4) has both racing and traditional ski school programs. The traditional program provides a protected, sunny area with a ski roundabout and a moving carpet where children age 5 and younger can learn at their own pace. The racing school is for more experienced skiers who are interested in learning racing or how to ski moguls or in deep snow. Price: €140 for six days. A supervised lunch costs €8.
Ski- & Snowboardschool Wilder Kaiser (5352 64888) has several programs for children. The first is Bambini which teaches children age 3 to 5 how to ski in groups of no larger than five. Bambini costs €195 for six days. With the Kinder program (twelve children maximum per group), children age 5 to 12 first begin their instruction in a separated child-only area. The Anfänger program costs €132 for six days. Kinder Fortgeschritten is another week-long program for children who can confidently snow plow, turn and stop. The entire couse takes place on the blue runs of St. Johann where children are coached in technique and work up to parallel skiing. Special activities take place on Thursday and Friday. Kinder/Jugend - Meisterklasse is a six-day masterclass in techniques such as jumping, powder skiing and freeriding. For further pricing contact the ski school.
