Rates here are based on high season, per person/double occupancy with half board: €€€—€125+; €€—€75–€124; €—less than €75.

It is hard to go wrong here in Seefeld. The most expensive in town are Hotel Klosterbräu (26210, fax 3885; €€€) and Hotel Astoria (2272, fax 2272100, €€€) both with indoor pool, sauna and steam grotto.

The four-star Viktoria (4441, fax 4443; €–€€; photo above) has rooms based on historical time periods and places. Try the Tibet, New York, or the Modern Times room.

The Lärchenhof (23830, fax 238383; €€€), also a four-star hotel, combines luxury with Austrian hospitality. Food is great here, and there is entertainment organized most nights with Tyrolean nights, dancing and fashion shows.

The Casinohotel Karwendelhof (2655, fax 2201-500; €€–€€€) has a spectacular lobby and sits just across from the train station. It is part of Best Western reservations.

The Waldhotel (22070, fax 200130; €–€€) is directly across from the Rosshütte lift. It caters to families and is a member of the Children’s Hotels of Austria.


Die Post (22010, fax 2201500; €€–€€€), the Hiltpolt (2253, fax 284553; €€€; photo left), and the Diana (2060, fax 2188; €–€€) are smack in the middle of the village.

Apartments, condominiums, flats
A list of apartments and B&Bs is available from the tourist office. Write ahead of time and ask for the apartment size you require and the dates that you are planning on being at the resort. Either the tourist office or the apartment landlords will contact you with several possibilities. Make your selections and get back to them.

Prices per night per apartment are between €70–€100 for a two-room apartment during high season and €80–€150 for a three-room apartment. Local taxes of about €1.20 per person per day and do not include the cleaning charge.
