Seefeld is a town where the visitors enjoy a good meal. Rest assured, they can find places to dine in this village. This resort has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to fine dining. The top four restaurants have won various awards. The first mentioned are highly rated by Gault Millau and the next two are unique and delicious in their own way.

Number 1 on many critics’ lists is the Ritter-Oswald-Stube in the Klosterbräu (26210). This space is filled with atmosphere and the food is delectable as well. It is packed every evening. From the starter, salmon tartar, to the dessert, mint-chocolate sorbet, your taste buds will dance. Meals here will run about €40–€50.

For elegant and wonderful regional fare dine at the For elegant and wonderful regional fare dine at the Alte Stube (2655) in the Casino. The room was reconstructed from an old gasthaus complete with wood paneling and ceilings. It is a delight and provides the perfect setting for an elegant meal.

Finally, take time to enjoy a meal at Kracherle Moos (4680) where the chef creates specials in a unique setting. Two ancient farm buildings were transported here and connected to create this restaurant. It is a delight. The daily menu is €16–€20.

Dinner or lunch at the Triendlsäge (2580) is fun and reasonable. Take time to see the old original 1848 sawmill that has been preserved. At the S’Alte Wirtshaus (4824) dine in an old building dating back to the 1300s. A fun spot is the newly refurnished Alten Schmiede (2253, fax: 284553; photo above) in the Hotel Hiltpolt.
