The Hannig area is now closed to skiers. It gets good early morning sun and is now the location of a 5-km. toboggan run. Tobaggans can be rented from the sports shops or at the Hannig cable car station.

Visit the Saaser Museum (photo right), packed with photographs of the old Saas valley, and old tools, kitchen utensils and furniture of mountain people. Open from 2–5 p.m., the museum charges €3.50 for adults, €1.50 for children to age 16.

The Bielen sports and leisure center has been newly renovated. It offers an 25-meter, heated indoor swimming pool, an indoor tennis court, billiards and table tennis, exercise room, whirlpools, steam bath and coed sauna. Tennis court should be reserved. Open all week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The indoor pool costs €9.50 for adults and €5.50 for children. The sauna area costs €14 for adults. Every Tuesday morning from 7–10 a.m. they also offer breakfast.
