Saas-Fee, Switzerland

Popcorn Bar photo, Saas-Fee. SwitzerlandAprès-Ski / Nightlife

Saas-Fee is known as a town for young skiers and those who think young. The Crazy Night in the Metropol has good music with a crowd aged 18–25. Pic Pic is a Swiss locals’ spot; the Alpen Pub and the Popcorn (photo right; young crowd and snowboarders) normally have a good crowd; Feeloch under the Du Glacier and the Go-Inn Bar and Poison attract the young lively crowd.

Après-ski, as the slopes close, is an early affair because the sun drops behind the mountains quickly. If you’re off the mountain at around 3 p.m., the terrace bars at the Derby, No. 1 Bar, Mühle, Rendezvous and Christiania do a great business. After 4 p.m., when the sun drops out of sight, the crowd evaporates. Most gather in bars like Chemi Stube in the Christiania, the Saaserhof, Nesti’s, the Black Bull or the Rendezvous.
