Getting there:

Train service is not available to the Sölden area, making the bus and car the fastest way to get there. Sölden is about 225 km. from Munich (3-1/2 hour drive in good conditions) and 266 km. from Salzburg. This remote Alpine region along the Italian border offers a scenic, but at times difficult to traverse, 20-minute stretch of winding roads from the Autobahn. Bus service is also available every hour from Innsbruck. Prices start at about €15, but phone the bus company at 05266-89200 before buying a ticket.
