Cross-Country

There is a 16-km. loop around the Sölden region. However, 50 km. of tracks are accessible via the cross-country ski bus to Langenfeld. Rentals are available at all sport shops in the area. The daily charge for rentals is €10–25 per day, depending on the store. Weekly discounts are always available.

The Sölden-Hochsölden Ski School (2364) offers cross-country and telemark instruction for about the same prices as downhill lessons.

There is both skating and classic skiing in Niederthai, a 5 km. skating course between Umhausen and Tumpen, plus a 3 km. skating trail from Umhausen to Arzwinkel for intermediates and to Köfels for experts.

Obergurgl-Hochgurgl has 12 k.m. of cross-country tracks near each village.
