Dining

The Stubai Valley has some exceptional Tirolean restaurants.

The best is the Silberdistl (left; 3171) that has a rustic atmosphere and wonderful classic Austrian meals. The Jagdhütte (2668) dining room is set in dark wood with a rugged character. Kratzerwirt (3152) is just outside of town toward the glacierbahn in a pretty Alpine house.

In nearby Kampl, try dinner at the Hotel Steuxner (2242); and in Fulpmes, it is worth the trip to have a meal at Gasthof Dorfkrug (right; 05225-62488) in the heart of the small town.
