Apartments. condominiums, flats
Apartments are the French choice for accommodation. In fact, apartment beds outnumber hotel beds by at least 5 to 1. What you get is the ability to schedule off-slope life at your own pace and it is one way to avoid the high hotel prices.

The descriptions in the brochures are based on maximum skiers per apartment. We have found that for the American/British market, more room is expected. Ask about the number of bedrooms carefully. The older Meribel apartments tend to be small. The new "Residences" are more comparible to condos in the USA with much more room. Check carefully for the size of any apartment rented during the season.

According to one realtor, apartment prices for a week’s rental in Méribel-Mottaret during most of January start from €322 for a studio for two to €813 for a three-room place that will hold six. In February the prices jump to €520 and €1476 respectively.

The tourist office (click here for more information) will send more information and a registration card, and will help make reservations.
