Getting there

Geneva is the main arrival airport; from there it is about an hour and a half by car to Megève. Scheduled bus service runs from the Geneva airport.

Trains run to Sallanches, 13 km. away, where bus and taxi services are available. The TGV makes the run from Paris in only five hours. A bus from the Sallanches train station to Megève will cost about €4.50.

If you drive into town, there are three large parking garages—two right in the center of town—so parking is no hassle. The free local bus system gives access to the different hotels and the lift base areas—Rochebrune, Jaillet, Mont d’Arbois and Cote 2000.

For more picturesque views, hire a horse-drawn cart from the Place de L’eglise.
