This is becoming a real destination for snowboarders. Austria’s top free riders come here to hang and hundreds of boarders attend summer boarding camps held on the glacier, but they stay in Mayrhofen.

The area has wide-open above-treeline snow that drops into tight trees offering plenty of challenge.

The resort caters to boarders with Burton Park and its lift system that makes the hassle of T-bars a thing of the past. It’s the only snowpark with its own four-seater lift. The park has five jumps. Two of the jumps are beginner’s tables. The others are a professional and medium line which are built up as three large jumps and one spine. The spine is built so that riders can duck out of the 20-meter table, which is considered a pro jump. There’s a halfpipe and a few rail lines, which include a rail strictly for beginners and a truly unique rail that allow boarders to ride five rails in one ride!
