Chalet Hotel Kaya (479 41 42 00) is the newest hotel and the resorts only four-star establishment. It sits at the top of the Reberty section of the resort at the 2000 level. The decor is what we might call mountain modern with a shift away from the traditional wood-everywhere decor. Rooms are spacious and there is a swimming pool, fitness center and spa. The restaurant is one of the bargains of the mountain for the time being, expecially during lunch.

Hotel l’Ours Blanc (479 00 61 66; fax 479 00 63 67; €€) is run by a young English lady and her French husband who does the gourmet cooking. The interior woodwork was finished by the father and child care is free for guests.

Hotel Lattitudes (479 00 75 10; fax 479 00 70 70; €€) Has a great location in Les Bruyeres. After a total rennovation in 2006, rooms are modern with great views. Again, this hotel has a mountain-modern approach to decor with little wood and traditional touches. It is right on the slopes next to the 12-person gondola.

Hotel Le Menuire (479 00 60 33: fax 479 00 60 00; €€) This is a small, clean hotel on the road entering the complex. It is a good upscale hotel.

Chalet 2000 (479 00 60 57; fax 479 00 22 25; €€) in one of the upper Reberty sections right below the Club Med has a wonderful terrace with good slope location.

Le Pelvoux (479 00 61 09; fax 479 00 28 80; €) is right in the center of the modern village. Again don’t expect tradition. You get great location with small rooms.

Hotel du Soleil Pierre Blanche (479 01 37 37; fax 479 00 69 60; €) has 68 rooms in the Brelin area above Le Croisette, the main modern village. This area is non-Savoyard and very modern, but with good location.

Hotel Carla (479 00 73 73; fax 479 00 73 76; €) This is a two-star hotel in La Croisette just beneath the main modern center.

St. Martin de Belleville
In the village of St. Martin de Belleville the Hotel Saint Martin (479 00 88 00; fax 479 00 88 39; €€; photo above) is a perfect spot, in chalet style and only steps from the lifts.

Les Chalets du Gypse (479 09 45 00; €€€) is an apartment hotel with full service and luxury accommodation.

The Alp-Hotel (479 08 92 82; fax 479 08 94 61; €€) near the Hotel Saint Martin. It connects with the Trois Vallées system and offers a nest of traditional architecture.

Also in St. Martin de Belleville try l’Edelweiss (479 08 96 67; fax 04 79 08 90 40; €€; photo right) for simple accommodation and good food but a bit of a walk to the lifts.

In the three-bedroom, tow-suite La Bouitte (479 08 96 77; fax 479 08 96 03; €€€), you can sleep like a king in a two-person room for €121-€183 per person B&B.

All-in-one weekly packages in St. Martin de Belleville including lifts and half-board cost €681–€750 in three-star hotels during January and the first week of April.

Apartments, condominiums, flats
Apartments are the French choice for accommodation. In fact, apartment beds outnumber hotel beds by at least 5 to 1. What you get is the ability to schedule off-slope life at your own pace and an excellent way to avoid the high hotel prices.

During all-in-one white week package periods in Les Menuires, for example, a two-bedroom apartment that will sleep four people for a week in January costs €204–€248. A 3-Valley ski pass costs €215 for a week. Low season per person costs between €415 and €475 a week with ski pass.

For four-person apartment in February high season, expect to pay €1,134–€1,520. Rates vary based on the luxury and location of the apartment. Individuals sharing flats during the high season periods will pay approximately €500-€600 per person for a week with Three Valleys skipass.

Gorgeous apartments that will sleep six to eight in Les Montagnettes, as well as the brand new Les Alpages de Reberty or Les Chalets du Soleil, cost approximately €1,350 in most of January and spike up to €2,260 for the holidays.

The tourist office will send more information and a registration card, and will help make reservations.
