Lessons (2007/08 prices)

Darentasia (tel/fax 0479 04 16 61), Privilège (0479 07 23 38, fax 0479 07 68 31) and Initial Snow (0612 45 72 91, fax 0479 40 09 61), Arc Adventures (International Ski School 0479 07 41 28) French Ski School (ESF), and Spirit 1950 all have programs in the villages. They offer guides/instructors for paragliding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and backcountry skiing/boarding.

French Ski School (ESF) has bases at Arc 1600 (0479 07 43 09), Arc 1800 (0479 07 40 31), and Arc 2000 (0479 07 47 52) for a combined total of 250 instruc-tors. Group and private lessons are offered to skiers and boarders older than 3 years. Group lessons run from €133. Private lessons cost approximately €38-€46 an hour for one to two people.

Ecole de Ski Snowboard School Spirit 1950 (0479 04 25 72) is in Arc 1950. Six half-day skiing lessons cost €145-€155 and six half-day boarding lessons cost €170.
