Lodging
Le Grand-Bornand has two three-star hotels and nine two-star hotels. For information or reservations, call the tourist office (04 50 02 78 00). Rates listed are based on per-person half-board, double occupancy: €€75 and less; €€€75€125; €€€€125+. Credit cards are accepted at all these hotels.
Les Glaieuls (450 02 20 23; €; photo below), known for its good food, is the closest you will get to the gondolas in the village.
Best Western Chalet Les Saytels (04 50 02 20 16; €€) Near the church, Chalet Les Saytels offers a bar, restaurant, satellite TV, a sauna, Jacuzzi, and billiards.
Les Cîmes (450 27 00 38; €; photo right) Relatively near the slopes at Chinaillon, Les Cîmes is a three-star hotel. It is small and cozy with lots of blond wood furnishings and only 10 rooms.
Le Vermont (450 02 36 22; €; photo below) is a chalet-style two-star hotel with a Jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool, close to the two main gondolas in the village.
In Chinaillon, check out Les Flocons (450 27 00 89; €), a two-star right on the slopes where you will have to walk across the snow to reach your room.
Apartments
In Le Grand-Bornand there are 500 chalet apartments. Contact Le Grand-Bornand tourist office by phone or e-mail. For two people, expect to pay at least €350 in high season and €160 in low season. For 35 people, it will cost at least €500 in high season and €185 in low season. For 6 or more people, it will be at least €650 in high season and €300 in low season. (These are per-person rates.)
