Child care (2008/09 prices)

The ESF offers so many kindergartens, snow nurseries and clubs for kids and teens that we do not have room to list them all. More than 550 instructors conduct programs that take care of children ranging from 10 weeks to 18 years old. Programs and prices depend on which village you select. Belle Plagne nursery (479 09 06 68) accepts children eighteen months to 6 years. The nursery is closed on Saturday. Their prices are comparable to the other ESF nurseries.

Children ages 18 months to 3 are welcomed at the nursery where they can enjoy themselves with drawing, games and toys, singing, videos and snowplay. One day with meal is €35; six half days are €158; six half days with meals are €243; six days with meals are €351.

Children age 3–6 old have a ski kindergarten called Club Piou Piou.

For older children (ages 7-13), the ski school has special programs designed for young skiers. Never-evers can take a course that includes lifts for six days for €247. Six normal lessons will cost €198 for full days, six half days cost €162 for mornings and €139 for afternoons.

Les P'Tits Bonnets in Plagne Center (479 09 00 83) takes children age 3-12. Children age 3-4 have snow kindergarten for about €45 for a morning, or €165 for a five mornings. Care for children age 5-12 costs €45 for a morning; €165 for a five mornings; and €01 for five days. Reservations are required. Lunch supervision costs €27 per day.

Also in Plagne Centre, Oxygène École de Ski (479 09 03 99, fax 479 09 20 55) has a snow kindergarten for children ages 3-5 and a kids’ club for children ages 4-12. Each class is limited to 8 to 10 children. Prices are the same as Les P'Tits Bonnets.

In Montchavin and Les Coches, Clubs Enfants GSE - Le Chat Bleu (479 07 82 82, fax 479 07 80 18) accepts children ages 3-9. It’s open Sunday to Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Reservations are required. Children have the option of choosing whether or not to take ski lessons. In Club Neige (program without lessons), children have indoor and outdoor activities including videos, sledging and treasure hunts. Club Neige costs €44 per day half day /€166 per week with meals; and €60 per day/ €219 per week with meals. Ski Club costs €209 for a week of half-day lessons and meals; and €260 for a week of full-day lessons with meals.
