Lodging

La Clusaz has eight three-star and 11 two-star hotels. For information or reservations, call the tourist office (0450 32 65 00). All the rates listed below are based on per-person half-board, double occupancy with half board: € is €75 and less; €€ is €75–€125; €€€ is €125+. Credit cards are accepted at all these hotels.

The Alp’Hotel (450 02 40 06; fax 450 02 60 16; €€€) offers a covered pool and sauna. It is the top-rated by Michelin.

We liked the Beauregard (450 32 68 00; fax 450 02 59 00; €€€) at the foot of the slopes, with a covered pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, game room and nightly entertainment.

The Alpen’Roc (450 02 58 96; fax 450 02 57 49; €€), just 150 meters from the slopes offers a covered pool, hot tub and sauna.

Les Chalets de la Serraz (0450 02 48 29; fax 0450 02 64 12; €€€; photo right) 4 km. out of town is a typical mountain chalet a bit above the town with a wonderful restaurant.

Hotel Carlina (450 02 43 48; fax 450 02 63 02: €€) has great south-facing balconies and offers a covered pool, sauna, and game room.

Sapins (450 63 33 33; fax 450 63 33 34; €) is a fine place in the center of the village at prices that are hard to beat.

Les Airelles (450 02 40 51; fax 450 32 35 33; €€) is in the village and has one of the better restaurants and a sauna. It is a great value.

Floralp (450 02 41 46; fax 450 02 63 94; €€; photo right) is another good place only steps from the lifts with a fine restaurant.

Le Vieux Chalet (450 02 41 53; fax 450 32 33 99; €) is a small, quite rustic, cozy hotel on the edge of the slopes. It is a walk from town, but ski-in/ski-out.

The Beaulieu (450 02 43 48; fax 450 02 63 02; €; photo right), just on the edge of town, offers a covered pool, sauna and game room.

La Piste Bleue Hotel and Telepherique Hotel are at the top of the Beauregard cable car. They offer the best views in the area and are the cheapest. Half board goes for about €46. Beware, though, for there is no access if you miss the last cable car.

Apartments

The “all-inclusive” apartment package has a starting price of €185 per skier per week during regular season and a starting price of €252 per skier per week during holiday season. Rates based on a four-person studio.
