Lessons (2007/08 prices)

La Clusaz has seven ski schools with more than 200 instructors: Alter Ego (06 07 39 72 53); Evolution 2 (04 50 23 52 77); Dimension Freeride (04 50 03 54 39); International Snowboard and Ski School Sno-Academie (04 50 32 66 05); Ski School Aravis Challenge (04 50 02 81 29); Bureau des Guides (04 50 63 35 99); and La Clusaz French Ski School (ESF) (450 02 40 83). Prices at each of the programs are about the same. These are high season prices. At La Clusaz French Ski School (ESF) rates are:

Private lessons: A one-hour lesson for one to two people costs €37; for three to four people, €49. A guide for a full day costs €294 (high season) and €252 (low season).

Group lessons: Six days for adults are €167; children younger than 12, €162.

Sno Academie (0450 32 66 05) teaches exclusively snowboarders. It offers two- hour private lessons starting at €66. Sno Academie also offers multi-day lessons, and snowboarding camps for beginner and advanced boarders, in addition to lessons for handicapped people.
