Child care and ski kindergarten courses (age 3-1/2 and older) are available in Innsbruck’s ski areas and at the Nurserien-Ski Kindergarten. Contact the tourist office for details.

In the heart of Innsbruck is the Kinderpark (0676 93 88 564 for reservations) run by Maria-Theresien-Stra§e. This new facility can be used by locals as well as guests in Innsbruck; your children are cared for by professional kinder garden teachers. It costs €1 for the first hour, €2 for every further hour. The Kinderpark is open Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

In nearby Igls, Snowsports Igls (phone/fax:0512-377377) has Bobo’s which is divided into several programs for children age 4 and older (space is available for chil-dren younger than 4 upon request). Bobos Punktejagd is a relaxed and flexible way for children age 3-5 to learn to ski. Children can begin on any day; there’s no time limit and children are able to learn at their own pace. Access to this mini ski area costs only €5 per card and is open every day, except Thursday, from 2-4 p.m.

Bobo’s Kindergarten is for children, usually age 4 and older, who don’t want to learn to ski or snowboard, but still want to play in the snow. Activities include sledg-ing, tobogganing, snowman building and indoor play. The kindergarten is open from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday to Friday. Reservations are required. The program is free (not including lunch which is €8).

Bobo’s Kinder-Club also offers ski instruction for children age 4 and older. Classes

can start on either Monday or Sunday and end on Friday, 9:30 a.m. - noon and 1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. One day costs €50; a half day costs €35. Three days cost €110; three half days cost €80. Six days cost €146; six half day, € 104. Lunch is an extra €8.

Bobo’s Mini-Club is a variation of the kinder-club. It’s a morning course that can start on either Monday or Sunday and end on Friday, 9:30 a.m. - noon (afternoon courses can be requested). It is designed to give parents the chance to be present for the first hour of the course and ease children into the program. One day costs €35. Three days cost € 80. Five days cost €96. Lunch costs an extra €8.

Hours are from 10 a.m. –noon and from 2–4 p.m. and cost €10 each day; €5 each half day. Midday care (noon - 2 p.m.) with lunch is €13. Children ages 4 and older are eligible for group ski lessons. Courses start on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. and run to Thursday with classes from 10 a.m.–noon and from 2–4 p.m. Cost is €47 for one day; €110 for three days; and €144 for six days.
