Mountain Layout — Skiing

This is a big mountain. No doubt about it. The base area sits at two levels, with ticket offices and rental shops at both levels and parking lots in between. Short lifts connect the two base areas.

Beginners: This area, between the two base areas, is where beginners start life on skis and where the kindergarten plays. After mastering the elementary basics, there is another beginner lift above the upper base that serves mainly children's ski school classes. Beginners have a trail that stretches from the very top of the mountain and meanders down more than 2,000 feet of vertical across snowfields and then through trees.

Intermediates will find wide-open skiing from the top of Totten and Hamaren with an opportunity to stretch their abilities by skiing down gullies and draws and through tight trees. Anyone focused on cruising will have a field day on the wide runs at the upper reaches of the resort and down the classic cruising trails that cut through the trees.

Experts have the center of the mountain that drops down to the upper base area. These steep trails through the trees offer opportunities to ski or ride the woods at every turn. The expert trails are served by a chair and a drag lift that ensure short lines and plenty of vertical.
