Child Care (2007/08 prices)

Hemsedal has excellent child care programs and overall family programs. The Trollia child care center (32 05 53 20) is open from 9 a.m. until the lifts close. Babysitting for children age 6 months to 1 year costs NOK100 an hour. Babysitting for children age 1 year and older costs NOK75 an hour. A one day program (2 hours) or children age 6 months to 1 year is NOK200; three days NOK400, five days NOK600. A one day program (3-6 hours) for age 1 year and older is NOK200; three days NOK400, five days NOK525. Siblings gets a 50% discount. Meals are not provided. Parents must pick up the children for lunch.

The ski area also arranges programs for children such as night skiing, toboggan-ing, children's racing and parties.
