Lessons (2008/09 prices)

Gstaad, with more than 100 instructors, has a good reputation for English-speaking ski instructors and for private lessons. It is open 8:30 a.m.-noon and 2:30 p.m.-6 p.m. The Gstaad Saanenland region has ten ski schools in various towns:

The following are the prices are for Gstaad Snowsports (033 744 18 65) to use as a price guide. The ski schools are pretty competitive and prices should be within CHF5 of each other.

Private lesson rates: one hour (one to four persons), CHF85; one hour (5 or more people), CHF90; full day (one to four persons), CHF350; full day (5 or more people) CHF380.

Group lesson rates: full day, CHF100; five days, CHF395.

Snowboarding lessons cost CHF95 for one day and CHF399 for five days.
