Flims Laax Falera, The Alpine Arena in Switzerland

Flims Laax Falera Trail Map, The Alpine Arena, SwitzerlandMountain Layout — Skiing

Here is the larger, more detailed trail map in pdf format.

One major lift from each town carries skiers to the snowfields, which are in turn linked by an extensive far-flung lift system. These lifts are not tightly packed, but they service the trails belonging to four major sections: Cassons Grat, La Siala, Crap Sogn Gion and Vorab.

Above Laax the cable car reaches the Crap Sogn Gion, at 7,283 feet, and a second continues to Crap Masegn, 650 feet higher. From here, skiers can shoot back into the valley toward Falera or to the lower cable car station. Other runs drop into the opposite valley, where more lifts bring skiers up to the La Siala area above Flims. High-altitude buffs head to the Vorab area, which at 9,842 feet presents great panoramas and skiing.

Mountain rating
The beginner will find the best areas on Nagens and on Crap Sogn Gion and on Foppa, the first stage of the way up to the Cassons Grat.

Intermediates will be overjoyed with the Crap Sogn Gion section and can find more than enough challenging runs anywhere in the resort area.

The expert skiers can stay busy when the mood strikes them, especially beneath the Crap Sogn Gion cable car, the back side of the Vorab and through the Cassons Grat powder and trails. But they will have to pick their spots.
