Area restaurants are reasonably priced and most feature a good selection of international and regional specialties with some exceptionally fine dining available in both valleys.

The best in Flims, according to Gault Millau, is the Restaurant La Cena (081-9284848) in the Park Hotel Waldhaus. The Fidazerhof (081-9113503), filled with Swiss tradition, is rated by Michelin as the best in Flims.

In Laax, the Posta Veglia (081-9214466; photo above) is highly recommended for traditional Swiss cooking and has a two-Michelin-fork rating. The restaurant at the Hotel Des Alpes (081-9110101) comes highly recommended with affordable daily menus starting some days at less than €10 for three courses. For pizza try Pizzeria Pomodoro.

From Laax head directly to Sagogn about two-and-a-half km. from the village, for a dining treat at Da Veraguth Carnetg (081-9276464; fax 081-9213698). This place rates one Michelin star and dining is in an elegant rustic setting. Try the special ravioli, meatcakes and lobster with fennel. This is a gourmet treat that will cost about €65–€85. Make reservations early.

Other excellent restaurants in Laax-Murschetg are those at the Hotel Laaxerhof (081-9208200) and Sporthotel Signina (081-9279000) where both restaurants feature very affordable daily menus starting at about €13.
