Mountain Layout — Snowboarding

Engelberg is somewhat of a snowboarders’ hill with 82 kilometers of runs. Thousands of local Swiss kids come here to learn tricks and turns. There is excellent riding on the glacier at 10,000 feet. The 12 km.-long drop down from the summit of Titlis to town is one of the great Swiss snowboard adventures.

Boarders should also check out the Jochpass Terrain Park on the Titlis glacier next to the Jochstock Xpress. This park has a monster quarterpipe, BigAir, several kickers and a variety of rails. This park was specifically designed with graduating degrees of difficulty to help freestylers improve their skills, but still manages to provide some challenging elements for experts.

The Surfers' Paradise next to the Jochpass Mountain Hotel overlooks the terrain park, so spectators can kick back and relax, snack and listen to DJed music and not miss any of the action in the park.
