Davos has scores of restaurants. They are all relatively good. This is a town where taking half-board can be a good idea, at least when it comes to saving money. The finest restaurants here are expensive. We list some of the more reasonably priced restaurants here (except for Hubli’s).

Hubli’s Landhaus in Laret (081-417-1010; fax 081-417-1011) is a local nouvelle cuisine shrine adorned with a Michelin star. Make reservations early. Dinner will end up costing between €50 and €80. There is a lunch menu for only about €30.

Vinikus (081-416-5979) has a French bistro atmosphere and costs €40–€80.

The Arabella Sheraton Seehof (081-417-9444) is another serving excellent nouvelle cuisine dinners in Davos. Other hotel restaurants that are excellent with reasonable daily menus for €20–€29 are Flüela-Stübli (081-410-1717; photo above) and Arven in the Meierhof (081-416-8285) in Davos-Dorf, as well as Ochsen in Davos-Platz (081-415-4444) and the Crystal (081-414-0101, fax 081-414-0100) also in Davos-Platz. Good 24-hour pizza and basic groceries are at After Hours (081-413-6376), up the stairs from the Sporthotel Central.

Pöstli in the Morosani Posthotel has good local fare, and Al Ponte serves Italian meals. The Bündnerstübli at Dischmastrasse in Dorf is very local, very crowded and very reasonable. Just outside the town, try the Landhaus Frauenkirch in Davos Frauenkirch (081-413-6335) for typical Swiss specialties.

For fondue head to Bistro Gentiana (081-413-5649).

The best pizza in town is found at Al Ponte in Platz. Zum Goldenen Drachen (081-414-9797) in Terminus Hotel and Zauberberg (081-415-4200) in the Hotel Europe are the best spots for Chinese food.
