The Crans-Montana area has more ski instructors (about 200) than some Swiss ski villages have permanent residents. Theres a lesson being given somewhere on the slopes from Crans to Aminona nearly every hour of the day.

The following are the prices for the Crans Swiss Ski School and the Montana Swiss Ski School. Prices are similar at the other ski schools.
Unless otherwise stated the following prices are for ski or snowboarding lessons.
Private lessons for skiing, snowboarding and telemarking in Crans costs CHF220 for one or two people and for three or four people CHF280 for a morning session (3 hours) in high season. An afternoon session for one or two people (50 minutes) costs CHF70 with CHF10 for each additional person. A full day of lessons for one or two people in Crans costs CHF400 and for three or four people CHF500.
In Montana, one hour of lessons cost CHF70 plus CHF10 for each additional person. One day costs CHF420 plus CHF20 for each additional person.
Group lessons in Crans for cost CHF55 for a half-day (three hours of lessons). A week of half-day lessons (18 hours in the morning) is CHF195.
In Montana, one morning of lessons (3 hours) costs CHF55 and five mornings of lessons (18 hours) cost CHF195. .
Cross-country lessons are available, and six different trails with a total length of 40 km. of gliding and almost 30 km. of skating are prepared during the season.
