Cross-Country and snowshoeing (2007/08 prices)

The area has 40 km set aside for classic style cross-country skiing and 30 km for skate skiing, divided between the golf course and the Plaine-Morte glacier. One day of skiing costs CHF8; one week costs CHF30. One day of skiing in Glacier Plaine-Morte costs CHF36 for an adult for one day and CHF22 for a child for one day.

There are 9 runs. Each run is groomed for both classic and skate skiing except for Plans Mayens which is only groomed for classic skiing.

Glacier Plaine-Morte (3,000m) – 6 km

There are 10 kilometers of marked snowshoe trails. Swiss Mountain Sports (480 44 66) offers night snowshoe excursions with fondue on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 pm-10 pm. Crans-Montana Tourism (485 04 04) also has night walks to the Colombire Alp Museum on Tuesdays. After snowshoeing up participants sledge back down. Swiss Mountain Sports (480 44 66) has an ntroduction to snowshoe walking course that starts at 2.30 pm and ends at 5 pm.
