Cross-country skiing is divided into two areas Fiames and Passo Tre Croci. The G.I.S. (Cortina's Facilities Management) manages and maintenances the tracks. For ski track information during the winter season, contact the Winter Office (436-4903) first floor at the "A. De Rigo" Sport Center.

The majority of the terrain lies in the Fiames Area which has 35.8 kilometers of tracks including the school area with snowmaking capability, beginner terrain and the "3G" sport track fro experts. Please be advised that pedestrians and dogs are not allowed on the cross country tracksand must use the hiking trails.

Pista " Ferrovia" Km. 23
Twenty-three-kilometer, groomed classic and skating double track that runs the former railway route from Cortina Fiames as far as Dobbiaco. The 30-km long itinerary connects Cortina d'Ampezzo to Dobbiaco over Passo Cimabanche. Passo Cimabanche is the route's half-way point and the highest point on the route. This route is famous for the "Dobbiaco - Cortina" the long distance cross-country event.

FIAMES AREA – INTERMEDIATE
Note: The "3G" Sports Track is actually 4 different loops (2-, 3-, 5-, and 7.5-km) at the foot of Monte Pomagagnon and is recommended for expert skiers or athletes.

The "Passo Tre Croci" Track is demanding and difficult and used as training ground for World Cup althletes. Only athletes and expert skiiers should attempt these trails. Sections of the 1,800-meter track, which are technically a series of several loops, run alongside the main road leading to the lake of Misurina and other sections run through woods dotted with the old fortifications of World War I.
