Location, location, location ... Champérys cooking benefits from its proximity to France. For the best meals in town go to the Restaurant le Mazot (479-0101). Try their Pierrade where you cook your meat on a heated stone.
These other restaurants in town are all very agreeable.

Across the valley there is a raclette house called Cantine des Rives (479-1171, fax 479-3371). The raclette parties there are part of the resorts dining-around program for guests taking half-board at hotels or pensions. The raclette wheel is heated against an open fire by the chef. The restaurant also features sausage and tripe dishes.
