A total of 300 instructors offer courses in the French Ski School Chamonix (450 53 22 57), French Ski School Argentière (450 54 00 12), Evolution 2 (450 55 90 22) and Ski Sensations (450 53 56 46). The schools offer a variety of programs so call and find out what’s best for you. Here is a list of ski schools with complete contact information.

The ski schools are competitive and prices are usually with a few euros of each other. The following are the prices for the French Ski School Chamonix.

Private lessons for skiing, cross-country skiing and snowboarding (one to two people) cost €38 an hour; three or four skiers cost €48. A day of private instruction is €275 for one to six people and €25 for each extra person. There is a maximum limit of eight people.

Group lessons for a half day (four hours) cost €56. A four-day course, consisting of daily morning or afternoon instruction (four hours a day), is €130; a six-day course is €172. For snowboarding classes, adults and juniors (ages 13 and older) cost €56 for a half day and €172 for six half days. For cross country classes, adults and juniors cost €31 for two-and-a-half hours and €145 for six days of two-and-a-half hour classes.

Out-of-bounds ski guides for up to six skiers can be hired for €290 (full day).
