Lessons (2008/09 prices)

Baqueira/Beret has more than 200 ski teachers, about 10 of whom speak English. Be sure to request an English-speaking instructor if you don’t speak Spanish. Ski lessons start for children who are age 3 and older. Discounts for children apply to those 11 years and younger.

Era Escola divides their prices by the season. Special seaon is Dec. 6-9; from Dec. 27-Jan. 6 and from Mar 17-23. High season is Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturdays from Dec. 22 -26 (except during special season). Low season is Monday trhough Friday from 2-5 p.m. and Sundays (except during high and special seasons).

Private lessons for one person cost €40.50 for one hour during low season; for one person cost €48.50 for one hour during high season; for one person cost €55 for one hour during special season.

Group ski lessons cost about €120–€160 for six days and €110–€140 for five days.

There are different ski/snowboarding schools in the area with similar prices. Check with them for the availability of English-speaking instructors.

Escola Snowboard Val d’Aran (973-645881) focuses only on snowboarding.
