
Cross-Country and snowshoeing
St. Anton
The St. Anton am Arlberg area has around 40 kilometers cross-country skiing tracks.
St. Christoph has a 2.5 km high-altitude track for intermediate cross-country skiers and skaters. Because of it's 1800 meter altitude, it's also used as a meeting place by some alpine skiers so be prepared for a few extra bodies.
Stanzertal has 22 km of easy scenic groomed trails for beginners. It starts next to the Wertstofhof Farm at the Aubrücke bridge and runs along the Rosanna River to Flirsch.
The 3 km Ganderau trail starts east of Hotel Tirolerhof and is connected to the Stanzertal track. It's a beginners loop trail that allows dogs.
Verwalls 10 km track is 200 meters of gentle hills starting from Hotel Mooserkreuz. It has gentle terrain with easy descents leading to Verwaltal valley, pas the Horneypast the Homey Inn and the water reservoir..
St. Christoph/St. Jakob/Ganderau/Pettneu
Skating tracks can be found in St. Jakob, St. Cristoph, Ganderau and Pettneu. If there are heavy snowfalls, the skating tracks wont be laid until the day after. St. Jakob Schnann (on the left Rosanna shore), 13 km; Ganderau, 3 km; St. Christoph, 3 km; St. Jakob loop trail. 1.5 km; and 2 loop trails in Pettneu: 3 km
Lech Zürs
Lech and Zürs have a combined 26 km of cross-country tracks.
In Lech, trails start next to the bridge near the Aparthotel, Flomena. Beginners and skiers who are in need of a little practice or warm-up should start with the 1.5 km Stubenbach course. Other trails include: Lech Zug approximately 2.8 km; Omesberg Zug approximately 2.4 km; Zug Älpele approximately 3.5 km; and Älpele Tannläger Älpele approximately 8 km.
In Zürs, the 4 km Zürs Flexenpaß trail starts behind Trittkopfbahn-Talstation
The area also offers a 2.5 hour guided snowshoe tours during nights with a full moon. Contact the tourist office for more information.
