Getting there
Here is a larger, more detailed map.
The best way to come to Andorra is to drive from either France or Spain. From Toulouse, France the driving distance is 181 km. From Barcelona airport to Andorra is 200 km. It takes about three hours traveling in either direction if all goes well. There are bus transfers directly from the airport to Andorra, however they are very cumbersome. Tour groups normally use buses from Toulouse airport passing through Pas de la Casa and then down to Soldeu.
Once in Andorra, there is a ski bus that runs between the resorts Canillo and Bordes dEnvalira that is free with your lift pass or skating rink ticket, or €1 if you have no lift pass or rink entrance ticket. It leaves every hour on the hour from Canillo and leaves Bordes dEnvalira at 20 after the hour for the return trip.
The normal Andorran bus line links Andorra la Vella and Soldeu every hour as well. The bus passes through Canillo on the way up the mountain about 20 minutes past the hour and then returns on the hour from Soldeu. It costs €2.50 for each ride. This is the best way to head into Andorra la Vella for shopping or going to the Caldea hot springs.
For local taxis call 863000.
