Child care and nursery facilities are provided at every resort in the valley through the Grandvalira Snowboard and Ski School and in conjunction with the Mickey Snowclub (376 80 10 60 for booking).

The ski school runs nurseries for children ages 12 months to 4 years old. The children are always either indoors or playing in the snow. They are not given skiing lessons.

• Grau Roig: children from 12 months to 4 years old.
  
• Soldeu, Canillo, El Tarter: children from 24 months to 4 years old.
  
• Pas de la Casa and Cortals de Encamp (Funicamp): not available.
  

Prices for the nursery are €16.50 for two hours; €25 for a half day; €37 for a full day; €61 for five half days; and €115.50 for five consecutive full days. These prices do not include the cost of lunch.

In Pas de la Casa, Grau Roig, Soldeu, El Tarter and Canillo there are five snowgardens where children ages 3-6 can take skiing lessons. These areas have inflatable toys, and instead of chair lifts to take the children to the top of the slopes, there are rope lifts and conveyors. Parents can sit on the bar or cafeteria terrace and watch their kids at their leisure. The snow kindergarten for ages 3–5 is available five days for a charge of €143.50 and €67 over a weekend. In the 2007/08 season: the Snow Garden at Riba Escorxada in Grandvalira-El Tarter has been extended and renovated.

The Mickey Snow Club also has circuits in both El Tarter and Grau Roig where children ages 5-12 years old have special marked-out slopes that they can ski either by themselves or with their parents. The ski runs are divided into different modules with obstacles including little jumps and bumps, tunnels, inflatable toys and doors. The club also holds special parties where monitors make the children's faces up with colored crayons and organize fun activities, parties, chocolate sessions, and games. Access to these Disney-themed areas (complete with Disney movie soundtracks being pumped through the audio system) is free.
