Vallnord including Pal/ Arinsal and Ordino/Arcalis, Andorra

Mountain layout—Snowboarding

Freeriders should head to the north face of the Alt de la Capa in the Arinsal sector where they can descend the eastern run (off-piste) when the conditions allow. When the conditions aren't quite right or if the area is too crowded for your liking (many local freeriders favor this area), check out the north facing area beside the Cornellada run in Pal. On powder days, riders can weave in and out of the woods, with a steep drop at the start of the run, or go further to the right, and descend on a run that passes all the way through the woods.

Freestylers should have double the pleasure and double the fun this season in the Arinsal sector terrain park. The park has doubled in size and has three distinct zones: a 100-meter-long half pipe in line with ISF-FIS regulations, an Activity Park area with railings, spines, fun boxes, quarterpipes and finally a permanent circuit for snowboarders and cross skiers. Alternative music floods all three zones. There is a drag-lift exclusively for this area, six snow cannons and on top of this a bar/restaurant specialising in Chinese food, ‘The Xina Igloo’, and a “chill out” area full of surprises.
