Palau de Gel (800840) in Canillo has ice skating, hockey, an Olympic swimming pool, fitness rooms, indoor tennis, squash courts and classes in everything from aerobics to skating to stretch to swimming. On Fridays, they offer carting on ice on the hockey rink.
Caldea (800995) is the largest thermal spa in Europe. The stunning glass building rises dramatically between the cliffs and apartments of Andorra la Vella. It houses a spectacular collection of lagoons and pools of differing temperatures, an outdoor thermal pool, suspended Jacuzzi tubs, baths, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation centers, massage rooms and more. Entrance is €24.50 for three hours; €65.50 for three three-hour days; and €98 for five three-hour sessions. This entrance includes use of the pools, Jacuzzis and most common areas. Bring your own swim suit and robe. Spa treatments and massages are extra. The Caldea also houses a series of upscale shops and a simulated helicopter ride over Andorra that shows off the landscape and elicits laughs, oos and aaahs from the audience.
Shopping: The entire country is a duty-free shop. The main shopping street are those of Andorra la Vella, the capital. Youll find every kind of luxury item as well as excellent deals on electronics and computer products.
Skidoos/snowmobiling: There are snowmobile rental shops in Port dEnvalira between Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig that also offer guided snowmobile excursions through the Pas de la Casa region and into Soldeu El Tarter. Call 324010 or 327220 for information and reservations.
The Automobile Museum (832266) is exceptional. Anyone who loves automobiles will have a blast. This museum houses one of the best and most complete collections of antique cars in the world.
