Here is a larger, more detailed map.
For skiing Arinsal is limited to narrow east-facing mellow slopes that get lots of morning sun. Trees are nowhere to be found until you get below the midstation. A gondola takes everyone up to the midstation that is the only hub of the mountain. It is hard to get lost here, since all trails lead back to the midstation. If skiers or riders are looking for thrills and challenge, they should head elsewhere. After one or two runs, everything difficult has been covered.
For those searching for a good place to learn to ski, this is a good spotthe learn-ing trails are out-of-the-way and have good snowmaking.
Arinsal and Pal are connected by a cablecar.
Experts will head into the trees at Pal. With a new, deep snowfall, these woods are lots of fun. In fact, the tree skiing here in Pal is relatively unusual in all of Europe which has above-treeline skiing for the most part.
Intermediates will have a blast on these trails dropping from the summit to La Caubella, El Fontanal, or down to the cablecar station.
Beginners have a good learning area in front of the base lodge with easy trails for progression.
Ordino-Arcalis is served by four chairlifts and eight surface lifts. This region offers a lot of above treline skiing and riding. Most of the marked trails are intermedi-ate and beginner, however, the area has excellent powder skiing when conditions are right. Experts can ski where they want. Intermediates have long runs. Beginners have plenty of space to learn.
